The hotel had clean and spacious family rooms with lovely views.
While the staff were accommodating , I found the noise levels from adjoining rooms to be quite disruptive. I could hear conversations clearly and it impacted my rest. The dining options were disappointing, as the food lacked flavor and creativity, particularly in the seafood dishes I tried.

All facilities were of a good standard. The meal prices especially the breakfast menu was excellent.
Balcony was a bit small. Couldnt fit a chair on it to take in the view.

I had a thoroughly enjoyable experience with a ridiculously comfy bed and a refreshing separate shower-it really made unwinding after a long day easy. The view I had over Georges Bay was fine, a perfect backdrop for a peaceful end to my evenings here.
I did come across a few tricky details. Noise from adjoining rooms was a problem. I could hear conversations and snoring clearly throughout the night, made sleep a bit of a challenge. While the air conditioning was supposed to be new and functional, it struggled to warm the room, leaving it chilly at times. Lastly, the food options on the kids' menu had room for improvement, as what was served felt a touch uninspired and prepackaged.

Everything was great during 1 day, greatly enjoyed its marvellous location just off trucks driving through town and 2 IGA stores and other amenities. The services were excellent, offered us good free Wi-Fi. Took the advantage of the parking nearby.

The hotel is very old and not what the photo's show. The Photos must be of the best room in the hotel as they as no where close to the state of our room. The room we booked was a pool site room this was true but the pool is not what you would think by the pictures. The room that i had has not been updated since the 1970's and is in bad need of renovating. Our room was located in a side lane way. I would not stay here again all recommend this accommodation to anyone. I have used this site for a lot of accommodation bookings and this is the first bad one i have had.

A quick and honest take
A central location, right across from picturesque water views. The kids thrived in the pool, while the bistro offered delicious meals. Clean and spacious family rooms, paired with cute staff. A great spot for families and those seeking adventure nearby!

The View form the room.
The evening meal served to my partner and myself in the bistro was the low lite of our week stay in Tasmania. We had our breakfast elsewhere due to the food served to us the night before, it rated 1 out of 10 (1 point was beginning it to the table).

Great views from the room. Waking up to the sight of the water each morning was a treat. The room itself had a nice layout, with clean and spacious accommodation. The staff genuinely seemed to care, and their effort to maintain cleanliness was evident. The mattress felt hard and made sleeping uncomfortable. I noticed that dining options were quite limited after 8 PM, leaving me scrambling for food. The dinner service was good, but the portion sizes for vegetables were unreasonably small. Improvements are definitely needed in the dining aspect, especially if guests want a full meal.

The view and location were excellent
Shower over bath facilities are inadequate for people th poor moility and generally more dangerous for everyone else. Any future refurbishemnt should address this issue particularly given our ageing population.
